Flood Floor Lamp

The Flood Collection is a body of work sitting at the threshold between destruction & persistence, loss & survival, speculation & archaeology. This piece is a reference to ancient narratives surrounding cataclysmic floods.

It is constructed from a solid piece of red gum timber which is then burnt and oiled. The fluted brass shade is aged, waxed and fixed upon its timber counterpart. The piece is then finished with brass cable runs that flow down the back of the timber form.
